i think that there are going to be more than seven books in the series, despite what we all previously thought. at the end of the sixth book harry said that he wouldnt be going back to hogwarts for his seventh year, because he has to find the other horcruxes and kill voldemort. i think that jkr was setting it up to have ten books in the series. there are six out already, but hes got to find the other four horcruxes before he can face voldemort. maybe he'll find one horcrux in each book. to me, ten sounds like a pretty convenient number to end the series at.

No, J.K is quiet sure that she is finishing on the 7th book. It is posible to find 4 horcruxes and kill Voldy in one book dont you think? Or maybe R.A.B has found more than one horcrux already, maybe?

Yah...Or not...In every recorded statement on the books, she's made it clear that there will be SEVEN. Seven books is a long series, afterall. Ten, although it would make many fans very happy, would be both long-winded and monotinous...

Also as JKR already has mentioned, 7 is the mysterious truly powerful magical number. I read somewhere on mugglenet, that there the considence of 7 horcuxes and 7 books, is too good to be true, and that perhaps during each of these books, one of the horcruxes has already been handled?

I think the item in the Sorcerer's Stone may have been the Mirror of Erised. After all, it was at Hogwarts, under the careful eye of Dumbledore himself. But, I'm just guessing, because Dumbledore could have destroyed it anytime he wanted to, but I'm not sure he knew about the whole Horcrux idea then, and it has not been mentioned what happened to it.

ewwwwwwwwwwww!!!! That's gross!!! I was hoping that there will be a nice loooooooooong epilouge where Harry and Ginny will get married, Rin and Hermione will get msried, and Dumbledore (WHO IS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)will live happily ever after with his brother, Aberforth, who works in the Hogshead.
Ohhhhhhhhhhh.....and we will find out who Snape was in love with, because I think that he might have been in love with SOMEONE... I just can't figure out who....oh yeah, and Tonks and Lupin will get married and have kids (all taking placeafter Voldythang dies)

Jo has already made it clear that there will only be 7 books in the series. As much as we all wish that she would continue to write more harry potter books I'm afraid she won't be.
