at first i was thinking that harry's scar might be horcrux...but then i started to think about it more. If his scar was a horcrux, why would voldemort be trying to kill him. Wouldnt that just destroy the horcrux and in turn, kill part of himself. I cant see why he would want to do that. any ideas?
also...on a completely different note...does anyone have any ideas as to why harry having his mother's eyes is going to be so important in the next book? i couldnt come up w/ anything. let me know your thoughts!

I thought that mabye, like, Harry origionally had brown eyes. Voldie came to kill him that night, and Harrys mother sacrificed herself for him. Dumbledore said that "that kind of act doesnt leave a mark," but we know DD can be wrong about things (tries not to think of Snape). What if, when Harrys mother died, the love she gave to Harry did leave a mark, turning his brown eyes green...or something like that.

"Yeah, I've been feeling that way myself," said George lightly.

"Definitely," said George.

hmm...it sounds like a bit of a stretch, but its possible. i still dont see how that could be sooo important though. I was reading this book and they kept saying that his father was a decendent of gryffindor and his mother was a decendent of slytherin (possibly adopted or something like that). At first i was thinking that couldnt be b/c wouldnt she have been in slytherin? but thinking back, do we know what house lily was in? still if harry's mother was a decendent of slytherin, wouldnt harry also be? as far as we know voldemort was the last. thats what we've been told anyways. did harry ever try to speak to the basalisk in CoS and didnt succed or did he just take Tom Riddle's word for it and assume he couldnt?

It could be possible I guess...One heck of a stretch..But I really don't think so. Voldemort was trying to kill Harry that night. He wanted him out of the way, not to become a vital neccessity to his life and power. Plus Harry has to destroy all the horcruxes...He'd defeat his own purpose if he had to destroy himself!

Oh, I do believe Voldie wanted to kill Harry, dont get me wrong. Now, I have no idea what your talking about. Lily wasnt a decendent of slytherin, I have no clue where you got that out of the book. JKR squashed that like a beetle a long time ago. Harry is not related to Gryffindor or Slytherin (mugglenet interview). Sorry.

oh...i didn't really think that he was the decendent of either (although i secretly hoped that he was the decendent of gryffindor and still am even though she denied it). but the one thing i'm still wondering...was lily in gryffindor or did it ever say (i honestly cant remember it ever being mentioned)?
Yeah, JKR said that Lily was in Gryffindor, and it also says in HBP when Harry first meets Slughorn and he is talking about how well Lily did in potions.
