Any thoughts, opinions, experiences to share on the aesthetics and legibility of this watch?

I really like the looks, but with presbyopia creeping in, the legibility is my real concern

Thanks

Blindness at 50...

Or was it 45? I can't remember anymore.
Any Perpetual that is not a Portugeuse Perpetual is difficult to read. I've worn a DaVinci, a Girard Perregaux F310b, a Master Perpetual and a Patek 3940 and I have to take my glasses of every time and stick the watch right up to my face to tell day/date/month.
The Straight Line is no different. At least for me. These watches are really about aesthetics first and practicality second.

It IS a favorite of mine, the Breguet.

legibility is an isue and I find it hard to read with my 32 year old eyes!

But then again who actually uses a perpatual calendar to know the date?

If you really want to legibility...

...take a look at the GO senator perpetual which uses windows rather than dials. Of course it looks nothing like the Breguet

Or perhaps it's just the excuse you need to buy an AL Breguet pocket watch - very easy to read up close.
