Hi,
My Austria photos have been take at the open days of the Panzergrenadier 3 at Mautern (70km of Vienna), 26 october (National Day).
It's open to public.
The best thing to do is :
Get up early morning, and go in Vienna to take photos of vehicle of the military parade.
Around 10h00, go at Mautern to spend the rest of the day.
On display :
All the 4K4 familly, Sk105, Leo 2A4 (ex-dutch), M578 (ex-dutch too !), Pioner Panzer, Greif, M88A1, M109A5Ö, many trucks (Steyr and ÖAF, Pinzgauer, Puchs), Ulan, Jaguar...
The demonstrtion is very impressive (as you can imagine !)
If you had little time to spend in Vienna, you can go at the Arsenal, there is little collection of military vehicles, but not indispensable. The most interessant is the Kurassier prototype.
Conclusion : very good days !

You can go at the Etap Hotel (easy to find, 5 minutes of subway, 10 minutes of Vienna centre.
Never go in Vienna centre with your car, 'cause you'll never find carpark...
