I'm really impressed with Trumpeter's "new" armor releases (starting with the "S" Tank).

The AS-90 and the JGSDF Type 89 IFV are both very nice kits.

I have found that where Tamiya might have cast a multi dimentional piece or assembly as 1 or maybe 2 pieces, Trumpeter makes it a 3-5 part assembly, so a little more work here and there, and that also means more seams etc, but I'm still impressed with their overall quality, their choice of subject matter, AND the PRICE!!!
