and similar to a gulyas (goulash) i make; keep the mushrooms, saute a big load of good paprika when you brown your meat, & add a big dollop of sour cream at the end.
(OT mulling on leftovers... i wish we were better at eating leftovers here... my spoiled family tends to get burned out & never want to see a specific dish again if i bring it out of limbo (i actually use a nice labelmaker and everything; it's not like it's 'mystery stew' from 'who knows when'.) i need more privacy in the kitchen, lol- if i was able to sneak it out to defrost they'd never be the wiser.
now do you believe me i need a bigger house, lol? anyone who can throw their kids upstairs may have forgotten what it is like to have them constantly, constantly underfoot. i've only gotten half thru the salsa because of constant interruption. like now. there is some lego dispute in progress. i swear, one day i am going to chop my fingers off listening to all this whine.)
