Response to I feel its a hopeless cause

Nothing is impossible.

Last October-November 2004, I cleaned my basement library. It had never been dusted in 25 years. I had books from 1962. I was scared, disgusted, ashamed: but I did it. In 15 minute sections. Took 20 hours total. I got rid of about 700 books. It was the beginning of a new me.

Please take heart and just start. OK, so your FIRST 2 hours looked like 'nothing' and you felt discouraged. Now, when you are at school: if you spend 2 hours TOTAL studying French, would you then be able to say, "Well, that's it, now I can speak French fluently?!?" Of course you wouldn't.

Keep on visiting here: see how other people work. Maybe ask you dad for some ideas or guidance.

Good Luck from Script
