Response to Malls on 10/31 |
|
I too often forward things which are unconfirmed like this one, notably virus warnings which later prove to be false. I thank you for posting this; always better to be safe than sorry, and if a warning turns out to be a hoax (which this one has not yet been declared "officially") all we have done is wasted a few minutes and a little space on the message boards or email sent files.
I am not afraid of bin Laden. He is a coward, let him come face me (or anyone else) man for man! We will soon have him, if not in custody then buried in the rubble of one of his caves.
I do take the recent anthrax scares seriously, and cannot help but wonder if he or the bastard Saddam isn't behind then. Then again, we have enough homegrown whackos who would gladly do the same (reference McViegh, Kazinsky, Manson,...).
So being cautious is never a bad thing, but I will not live my life in fear every waking moment. We will defeat the madman from Afghan because we are Americans, and that is what we do.
Peace to all and if you need to reach me on 10/31 I will be at the Mall, thumbing my nose at the sick pranksters. | |
