Response to tell me what this means... |
|
I asked a pediatrician from all experts to explain the excerpt. I also asked her if it basically indicated an over-active immune system in children with ASDs. AND then I asked her if pharmocogenetics (that we've discussed previously here) wouldn't be worth looking into for our children. I THOUGHT she would be impartial because in her profile, she stated that she is interested in using technology to improve the safety of immunizations.
I don't want to reprint what she wrote here without her permission. But I wouldn't want to reprint it anyway. She didn't really interpret the excerpt. She said that, in her opinion, it suggested that ASD children would receive "higher protection" than "normal" children do from vaccines since they have larger responses to immunization. She said that she's not really familiar with pharmacogenetics. And I got a strong caution about the media & where I get my information on vaccines. She suggested I consult with our pediatrician so he can help me "filter out" the bad information.
I'm supposed to rate her response now. I do owe her a thanks for taking the time to respond and for replying so quickly but I'm tired of the their propaganda and condescension.
