what happened re:michelles friend sleepover, and now what?

ok, now that have gotten the jasper post done.. needed to check out this situation.
michelles friend amanda stayed for the sleepover.
the kids were playing well, although michelle has been getting quite 'hyper' lately (ever since we started the digestive enzymes on thursday) and was a little stimming also.. not much... to terribly noticeable... but then at bedtime things got a little more 'demanding' with michelle... she insisted that amanda sleep in her bed with her, although she also insisted that there were going to be the massive amount of stuffies she has, and that they could not be moved to any other place then they were, which really left NO room for amanda to sleep in... so, finally , after telling michelle how there was physically NO room for another child inthe bed with those stuffies, said they can both pick ONE stuffy to sleep with.. michelle was 'pouty' after that... and became quite a bit more rigid in her expectatins of the story to read, the manner in which was to turn the pages even, (things that she had not really cared about too much)... then, what happened was this... michelle fell asleep quickly... amanda did not.. she came out of the room after about half an hour, and wanted to call home, was homesick.. she called, and her father came to pick her up... knew that when michelle woke up it woudl be a 'issue'... well it sure was!!!
she woke up, and started looking for amanda... when told her what happened, she started to cry.. uncontrolably... tried to explain to her how amanda was having her first sleep over, and also it was her first day ever coming over here, (did wonder about that, thinking it was a little too much too fast, but wasnt going to say anything to her mother, since it was her idea that amanda stay, who is to say to her that it is too fast for her daughter..) so... tried to explain it had nothing to do with michelle, us or anything like that... michelle then ended up missing the school bus.. didnt think it was a problem because we were getting picked up by her dad to bring jasper to vet, and thought on the way we coudl bring michele to school... well NO.... she started to say, it was not ok to go late, it woudl make her have work to do during recess, which meant she had to stay in, which would disrupt the whole day for her... which woudl be scary... she also started immediately to say (after realizing she was missing the bus) that 'now i cant sit with amanda on the bus" tried to tell her she could see amanda in class, and during recess.. and lunch.. this seemed to not be good enough... the routine was disrupted? or was it something else?
then, about going late, the whole thing about the missed work (and she woudl of arrived at school 15 minutes late) the missed recess then... then it was that she said that she didnt want to see amanda at school today... dont understand how that came about...
did she take it personaly after all?
dont understand what happened.... she actually 'refused' to go to school because she didnt want to see amanda at all.. this makes no sense with what she had said earlier, about it being a problem for her not being able to sit with amanda on the bus...
am so confused...
and since didnt have the emotional energy to deal with 'forcing' her to go to school.. let her stay home... propably was a bad idea... am so worn out with the latest round of things to deal with that didnt want to argue about it...
hope it wont backfire tomorow..
any suggestions on what you think happened here?
and what to say/do if tomorrow she also doesnt want togo to school....
