The Haemophilus influenza type b IgG geometric mean concentrations in *****premature infants proved to be ****extremely low when the vaccines were combined with diphtheria-tetanustoxoids-acellular pertussis, according to English paediatricians.

However, the derum bactericidal antibody geometric mean concentrations to meningococcal serogroup C capsular polysaccharide proved similar to infants born at full term.

Researchers from six cities across England designed a study to determine the ********immune response of 105 premature babies to meningococcal serogroup C capsular polysaccharide (MCC) and the combination of diphtheria-tetanus toxoids-acellular pertussis -Haemophilus influenza type b (DtaP-Hib) conjugate vaccines.

The infants who were born at 32 weeks gestation had Hib IgG geometric mean concentrations (GMC) and MCC serum bactericidal antibody (SBA) geometric mean titers (GMTs) which were measured a month after the third immunization. Infants born at term served as controls.

By comparison with full term babies, those born prematurely had Hib GMC's of 0.27 µg/mL with 21 percent achieving GMCs >1.0 µg/mL (term infants had 0.81 µg/mL and 46 percent [P< .001 and P= .003 respectively]) The MCC SBA GMT was 398 and 99 percent achieved an SBA greater than or equal to 8 by comparison with 380 and 98 percent in full term infants. (P=. 84 and P=1.0, respectively). The Hib IgG was associated with age at the third immunization.

Questions:
1) Do you consider Devtl delays as signs of Prematurity, even though the fetus was full term survivor?
2) What if the fetal age was 100% normal, but the brain cells were not mature or fully grown into a normal NB baby's brain devt in comparison?
3) What are the criteria used in determining the term
"Prematurity" or what is the official all inclusive definition of prematurity in 21st century?
