DC is indeed barring children (starting today) who CANNOT SHOW PROOF they are fully immunized. Many kids in DC are transient and don't have immunization records. So they are re-immunizing these kids. And they are giving all the immunizations in one sitting.
I liken it to saying you can't go to school until you finished your 10-day course of antibiotics. If you can't prove you finished it, take it again - oh, and take all 10 days worth at once, right in front of me where I can see it. The hell with contraindications or vaccination schedules. By the way, they aren't doing this for public health, they are doing it for federal funds. Whenever you hear "vaccine," "money" isn't far away...
DC has almost NO special education system - most DC special ed students are shipped out to private schools at taxpayer cost. DC, get ready for a tax increase!
