Response to "why it is not aspergers syndrome=me"

a mom who was in denial of her childs autism...

so she took the child to 5 different drs searching for the one that would say nothing is wrong...

5 expertly qualified drs....

and got 5 DIFFERENT diagnosis. None the same. All different. None normal. Same child. How could this be?

Different drs base their opinions on their own experiences, not on the person. Not on the actual circumstance. Different drs are not throrough enough to see the person and what is wrong, they see what they want to see.

Send your post and mine to this ben green...maybe it will open his eyes.

And this forum is for anyone ... dx does not control who can or cannot be here. And you should know in your heart that we welcome you here, and would be so very sad to not have you part of our lives.

And one more possible thought...if this dr has control of who gets services and who does not...its possible he controls his diagnosis to control the extent of those services to cut costs. I think you need another opinion. You have one dx as aspie one dx as not, thats a conflict...by all rights you need a third.

Do not let one person make you feel this pain....he is but one Dr., with his own agenda i believe.
