Response to 1 in 200 children in regonal town in Australia

Geelong is the 2nd largest city in Victoria. There is a diagnostic unit there and there is a school set up for children with autism and other intellectual disabiliies. There are about 15 in the state most are in the Melbourne which is the main city but there are also intergration classrooms set up for autistic kids in schools all over the place. In one of the country towns there is school set up for adults and they send out teachers to all the smaller country towns to help with autistic children who cannot access the bigger school. I don't know how things are in other states. I know it can't just be because families are moving into areas to gain access to facilities for their children. The other thing is most of the autistic kids are now having to go to non-specific autistic school because there are simply too many of them.
