Gosh, Thank you for all the support on this! It is wonderful to know there are people out there going through the same thing! I hope I did not give the impression I think the school has done something wrong. They have really tried to work with me and have been wonderful. The aide is a real sweetheart and my son seems to love her. It just bothers me that she got hurt. (and didn't make her feel too good either, I'm sure!) It's tough to be a parent with an autistic child but I cannot expect anyone else to take the biting.....IT HURTS! She has a job but I'm not so sure that just because she's a special education aide that there is or should be the expectation that she will get hurt. I agree the district needs to make sure she's safe as well as my son. We are working on the biting though! Again thank you for your support!
