Response to Achievement Tests vs. IQ Tests

This is a question asked in the Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales:Interview Ed./Survey form. One of several tests that were admistered recently for Tristans Reevaluation and subsequent IEP for the coming year!
Now...........of course the child can keep a secret! You can tell him any of your deep and personal thoughts and know that your secret is safe with him. Of course that is because he is non-verbal and unless he can sign your secret or use icons to tell on you..you have nothing to worry about! LOL
My point is that our children are not cookie-cutter versions of each other. The tests administered are standardized tests and you should keep that in mind. They don't take into consideration whether the examiner was a person your daughter knew, was comfortable with, was explaining the test in such a way that she was attending well, etc.

I know its hard but try not to think of the IQ test as the 'be-all and end-all'. Your daughter sounds like she is doing really well! Congratulations to BOTH of you!
