You did exactly right to get a person back on another thread.

But your URL lead directly to your answer. If I were Jim Taylor, I might have forgotten in detail what we were talking about.

For that reason, personally (just the way I do it), I like to find somewhere higher in the thread and give that URL and in the text say where my new post is.
