There is a good chance your post and this response will be gone in not many hours.

Mac was not always right. There are a number of instances of him choosing poor methods and making design mistakes, in some cases major ones. Also, I think he made a few policy mistakes regarding the forums. It's true that some of his programs don't seem as impressive as they could be. The Kriegspiel project was big in our opinion, and certainly a success, although many would rightly see it as small and not ideal.

I do look at some of his programs and think, what's the big deal. But then, I might not be willing or able to write them better...

It is hard to call someone a noob who has been programming since the 1950s. You may very well even know more about programming (at least the modern stuff), or be a better programmer, but it is hard to call him a noob.

As for calling him worthless, that is downright insulting and wrong. There are very, very few people on this planet who can rightly be called "worthless", in my opinion. But I have no intention of debating this with you, as you and I will probably never agree on this, and since you probably consider me worthless as well.

We have much to thank Mac for. At the very least, he made this forum ad-free, and gave it a certain amount of moderation, although obviously imperfect. But he also guided it and helped it along to a great extent with his programs and manner.

If you dislike Mac, that is your right. If you want to post about it, in a more appropriate way, that is also your right. But your above post is obscene and insulting. We know you don't like Mac. We already know you consider him a noob. Lots of people have had disagreements with Mac. But you are the only one that I know of who has insulted him in this manner, in this context. Shame on you.
