You might want to post your code in the Big Programs section and then post a link to it in a new post here with a better description of the problem.

Aside from that, sometimes coders do no pass variables correctly inside parentheses when calling subs. This can lead to a loss of data in the varaibles.

CALL MySub(a, b, c, oranges$, apples$)

code...
code...
code...

CALL MySub(a, b, c, orges$, apples$) - oops, typo!

code...
code...
code...

If yo are using multi-modular code, often the mistake is that COMMON SHARED was not used. COMMON SHARED passes shared variables between modules. DIM SHARED only passes variables within the subs of a single module.
