Floodlights!!!

Can anybody enlighten me as to the position regarding the floodlights at the Hoverspeed Stadium?

I heard that they needed to be completely overhauled (they have been very poor for quite some time now) & that this work was expected to cost in the region of £40,000!!!!

Obviously the club does not have such an enormous amount of money but I was under the impression that we were looking into the possibility of obtaining a grant to go towards the cost of this work.

My concern is that I have heard that we may not be able to enter the FA Cup unless the lights are dramatically improved which would obviously be disasterous for a club like ours.

If this is true, what progress, if any, has been made regarding possible grants? I noticed how poor the lights were again last Tuesday night & with the new season due to start next month wondered what the current situation is.
