819 Red Horse is Back

by

It is good to see more of you all back at the web site. It is about time so lets keep it up and get back to where we were. Maybe even do the chat like we used to. Eddie needs to update the medals that we all have earned and maybe we can get together and add more stuff to the web site. We were the can do unit so lets go guys and gals and get the old 819th back to full steam. I hope you all had a nice Labor Day. See you all on the net.

Second that!

by

Jim

You are so right...the more we can get excited about the site and spread the word the better it can become.

Perhaps if each of us that are "plugged" in now would encourage any of our absent members to log on and connect, the thing could grow big time.

I got 3 emails to send to guys to try and get them on board.

Medals....

by

Hi Jim! We lost a lot of pictures when the virus hit our computer - I hope you still have the pics of the newest medals. If you do, please send them to me and I will add them to the front page!

Thanks so much! It would be nice to get back on chat!

My Apologies!!!!

by

I was wondering why I had not received any prayer requests lately. I forgot to change the email address on the site -- must be getting old!!!

Well, I changed it and so if anyone has any prayer requests -- please send them in either through the Redhorse web site or directly to my email address above!

(Of course, I could blame it on getting married... we're still on the honeymoon and approaching our 1 year anniversary. G-d is so good!)

It's about time

by

It has been a long time since all the guys and gales from the original 819th get back on line. I am glad to see more of you out here. Keep up the good work. All is well with me. I am in the system with the VA now and they seem to be taking care of my problems. If any of you guys are suffering from PTSD I suggest you to go to a VA hospital and get help. They are there for us. I am not happy with the ones here in Jacksonville bu the one in Lake City is real good. It took me 35 years to go but it is worth it. I will let you all go and be good. Talk to you all later.

Horton

by

I had talked to Horton 1 time but lost his phone number. I think he is living up in yullee but not sure. I hope you are doing well Ken. It has taken me 35 years to go to the VA but it is worth it. I suggest that all the guys from the Red Horse go and collect on the benefits. They can help with the PTSD as I am sure we all have it just some of us are to proud or what ever to admit that we have a problem.

Still around

by

It's been a long time since we visited this site, too long. Glad to see things are picking up. Now that we no longer have any responsibilities with the Asso. we can spend a little more time keeping up with our own guys. The only thing is we are planning a 4 to 5 month trip so will be kinda out of touch for awhile. Wont be leaving till mid Sept.though.
George Ford, if you read this, can you get in touch with me, I need your new address or phone no. in Idaho. I have a question for you. You may be able to help me out with some information.
Eddie and Lura ? How are things going with ya'll ? Glad to Know that you're still hanging in there, with all that is going on. Someone up there has a plan that only you two can acomplish. Our prayers are with you.

Reunion?????

by

Anybody planning anything for next year? Since we missed this year's reunion, we feel like we are out of the loop.

How about the 819th getting together on its own?

Re: When in May????

by Mary Ellen and Terry

So good to hear from you. We are doing well, awaiting the birth of grandchild number 4, he is due in early Sept.
As far as I know the reunion will be in the beginning of May, that seemed to work well for alot of people. As soon as I hear a definite date I will let you know. That's pretty cool about your sister living in San Antonio.
Love and God's blessings on you both.

Good to see you back on line

by George Ford

Thomas,

First, very, very, sorry for the losses within your family. I hope that your extended family is dealing with the "loss". Just don't know what God has planned for us!

But with every passing, the Lord gives us new birth...so rejoice in the birth of the great grandchild.

Let me know what you are doing...

Joyce and I made the move from a crowded California to a more "roomy" Idaho. We still have some problems with making the move, like me finding a job, but He (being the Lord)got us this far must have the rest figured out as well.

Glad to see you back on line...take care on your trip south...let me know what you are up to, either on this site or by direct email.

Take care my friend
George

We;ve been wondering about you!

by

Hey, Gary! We're sorry to hear of your losses among the family. We offer our condolences and agree with Fordy - The L-rd always gives life in place of death. It's good and right to mourn the loss, but there is a time to grieve and a time to focus on the life He has given. Congratulations and Blessings on your new grandsons!!
We will take it as a good sign that you have come back to the website! It's great to hear from you! Come visit us in Israel!
We are trying to focus on the website now and build it a bit. We took some time off to get adjusted - new Land, honeymoon, etc. but we are ready to start again.

website troubles

by

Hi Jim! It's been difficult keeping in touch from over here. First we had virus troubles with the computer, then the website had to be changed, then we bought two new computers and have had a bunch of trouble getting them up and running and on the internet - still working on that. So we have been offline more than on. Can't work on the website like that.

Hopefully things will be different very soon! Is anyone working on next year's reunion?? We haven't heard anything?

Hope your 4th of July was special! Ours was pretty quiet over here in Israel, but a lot of people flew
American flags on that day! Keep in touch!

Re: 4th of July

by

Hi Jim

Glad to see your posting and Lura's response...it looked for a while that this site had totally dried up. I think that with the change in websites we might have lost a few folks...add to that the problems with comunicating on the broader redhorse site that Mark and Kathy set up, which hasn't functioned real well caused a lot of folks to move on to other things. That's too bad...I think that Eddie got something rolling that was real good, but it seemed to have lost it's steam. Perhaps, we can get it going again.

Hey...any of you guys out there...post a note on the site and let us know you are still alive and kickin'

The "Horse" was special...keep it alive

Fordy

Made the PCS

by

Hi Ken

Yup...just made the move to the Inland Empire in mid-June. We are having our house built as I write...living in a rental near downtown Couer d'Alene. It's great up here, except for the mosquitoes...takes me back to about 35 or so years!

You have a good memory...let me know how you are getting on

We're back!

by

Hi Friends! Sorry to be absent from everything and to have missed the Reunion, too! We hope you all had a great time!
We were unable to come to the Reunion because of waiting on Eddie's paperwork here in Israel. Plus, we have had a lot of computer problems, but now we are back online with two new computers (Praise the Lord!) So once again we will be working on the website and hopefully get onto a chat room here and there. We miss you! Blessings!
