the more users added to the network in your area, the slower the connection speed for all users on that network. So, if you are the only one on the network, the speed's not too bad. I have had as high as 3mb down and 1mb up. We use hughes in the Rockies on the wellsites there. I would give it a "D", due to the fact the speed is inconsistent and the dish is weather-sensitive...a step above dial-up for a mere 5 times the price. It's actually the same for cable, to a lesser degree. If someone is trying to run a server in your neighborhood, believe me you'll know it. Bottom line is THEY ALL SUCK!! speed vs. price, just like a cadillac....
