State Fair

by Loy Croley

I took mom & dad to the State Fair today. We took the dart rail right to the gate at Fair Park. Sure beats driving, parking & walking to get to the fair.

We saw Oprah & her crew filming at the Fried Butter stand for her show. She was later filming at the Fletcher's Corn Dog stand.

journalism "If you are going to slander some famous person; always misspell their name."

Cardinal Rule of Modern Journalism..."Never report the total truth."

"Bomomma was born in a mud hut in the USA."

Here we have misspelled the name, and given only half truths. You as the decerning public (sic) can decipher what is the truth and that which, any right thinking person, that has not spent un-told hours setting in front of the tv watching afternoon drivel, can see was......well now I'm just going way over your capcity to define truth over fiction.

Anyway have a good day.

Sad News on Bryan Shelley

by Tommy Lester

Just received the news Bryan left us today only to hope we will join him. He had love for everybody. Cancer took him from us and his family and now the pain is gone and replaced with the ultimate happiness.

Thank you Bryan for your inspirational daily devotionals which I was introduced to lately. I will have to find these types devotionals on my own and stop relying or my friends as a crutch.

I don't have details but know that his wife, Debby, will appreciate our prayers.

You'd better hope it's the flu...all the other stuff is really bad. We could get you some medicine, but it will have some side effects like oily discharge, rectal and erectile disfucntion...(take your pick )!!! Sudden loss of hearing and eye sight and memory. You'll get bad breath and be light headed even when you're not...Hell man...we're seeing doctors too cause we've got the same side effects without the medicine. I've even got warts, yep ! warts.....all over, like a thousand nipples all over my body. Pinch one if you want...it's real !!! They're all real ! Take your time,, go ahead, pinch them all. Laugh all you want. It's not my fault the experiments went awry. Besides...the laugh will do ya good !!
