Goldmoon sat there in the dark of the small cave. It was more of a little opening that she managed to fit in without being easily seen. She sighed, staring at the dagger she held in her hand. It had always been by her side. Even before she could remember. But it had different uses then. This dagger wasn't just for her defense now, it was for her escape. She looked at the all too familiar part of her body. Her arm. There were faint scars, but she had a friend that helped with that. Otherwise the scars would have been way easier to see. She sighed as she dragged the tip of her dagger against her skin lightly. Goosebumps went up her arm and the chill seemed to pass through the rest of her body. It was a familiar feeling, familiar for three years now. Goldmoon remembered her first year after the incident. All the horrible men, the pain, drugs, beatings. It had been horrible. And then this girl came along and showed her how to escape the pain. Well more like, replace it. So after she learned that secret, she learned one on how to get out of the place. But that just made her into what she was now. An assassin. And on the run from her boss. It'd been 6 months so far and she hadn't been found. At least not found by who she was running from. She'd been found by another part of her past instead. The part that she couldn't even remember.
