Pro-life?byHere's a moral issue I thought you people might help me tackle, recently here in Quebec (Canada), pro-life groups have started a really agressive campaign against abortion, the problem is that it's a bit too agressive. They stand in the streets giving flyers or near highways with big signs, that feature... dismembered foetuses, the picture they use the most is a severed head of a 31 week old foetus held above a trash can. At first I thought it was good, it would help convince people, but fuck this damn bullshit, it's pure fucking insanity, if I was 5 years old and saw some pro-life 'tard smiling while holding one of these signs, I think I would have trouble having sweet dreams you know? What's worse the shock pictures they show represent abortions that are illegal here, I think the maximum age is 20 weeks or so. Pro Lifeby JoaquimWell Rick Personally I am against abortion, for myself and my girlfriend, I mean, if she gets pregnant one day I will tell her I would like to have the baby, but the bottom line is that it's her choice since it's her body. I am against pro life demonstrations such as the ones you have been witnessing and violent acts such as killing doctors and etc, but I do understand that there are irresponsabile people out there who do abortions just like they are drinking a beer, it's a very serious subject which shouldn't be treated with disrespect or irresponsability. Shoving people your opinion down their throats won't make your truth more valid for them (or more truthfull, is this word right or have I made this up?) Re: Pro-life?by RyutoWell, a difficult issue... I would side with the moderate pro-choicers. I just don't consider abortion at an early stage to be a murder. It's not like removing your apendix either but women who decide to abort know this better than anyone else. Pro-life extremism is simply ridiculous and often hypocrite. If it's your own personal choice that's fine but I would like to see what those fundamentalist pro-lifers would do if their 15 year old daughter is raped and gets pregnant (remember what happened in Ireland?). So I agree with Joaquim, it must be a personal choice based on personal convictions.
