Shawn smiled as Belle bit her lip and clung to him. He didn't really watch the movie, but he knew everything that was happening by Belle's expressions. He didn't understand why she liked watching scary movies so much if she got this scared.
Belle was glad that she thought of this. By watching a scary movie she could cuddle with Shawn without having to explain it to anyone.
Belle had seen this movie a thousand times and she knew what was coming next. She wasn't scarred, but none the less, she clung tighter to Shawn. She breathed in his cologne, and tried to seem as scarred as possible, while she planned what to do next.
"Good movie huh," Shawn said as the opening credits faded, he turned on the tv, and flipped on the lights. "I have never seen you so scarred," Shawn said, releasing Belle from his grip, but Belle wouldn't have it.
Belle grabbed Shawn's hand, and held it in her own. "Shawn, do you like me?" Belle asked.
"What do you mean 'do I like you?' Ofcourse I do, we grew up together and we even dated," Shawn asked.
"I mean do you like like me?" Belle asked as she shviered.
"Are you cold?" Shawn asked grabbing the throw blanket that sat behind him.
"Don't change the subject. Just answer the question Shawn! Do you like like me?" Belle asked for a thrid time wrapping herself in the blanket.
Shawn sat for a moment, contemplaiting the choices. "What would you say if I told you that I do like like you?" Shawn finally said, running his hand through his short brown hair.
"Well, I would answer with how I feel about you," Belle said confidently, "That I like like you to."
Shawn smiled, looked into Belle's crystal blue eyes, "Well, that's good, because I like like you."
"Good," said Belle.
It was silent for the next few moments.
"That was so high school," Shawn said breaking the silence, and causing Belle to smile. "So do you want to play a board game or something?" Shawn asked, exposing his boyish grin.
Belle scrambled to pull out monopoly, Shanw set it up and they started to play.
After a few hours, they had finished playing monopoly.
"Well that's it Belle, you have taken all my money and all my realestate. Stick a fork in me, I'm done," Shawn said rolling onto his back and covering his eyes.
"Quitting? Shawn Brady quitting? This is unheard of. Oh, but me being his opponet...now it is understandable," Belle teasingly said rolling next to Shawn.
Shawn turned onto his side and looked into Belle's eyes. "We had better go to bed," Shawn said smileing as he pushed the hair out of Belle's eyes. But to Shawn's surprise, Belle's smile faded, pushed his hand away, and stood up, walking away from Shawn. "What's wrong?" Shawn asked, as he followed the fleeing Belle.
"Are you serious? We haven't even kissed in five years and now all of a sudden you want me to go to bed with you?" Belle screamed in Shawn's face.
"No Belle, that's not what I meant. I meant that I am tired and I bet you have a big plan for tommarow, and I think that we should go to bed, or separate beds," Shawn pleaded at Belle.
"Really?" Belle asked still unsure.
"Yeah," Shawn said, "Goodnight Belle." Shawn headed towards the guestroom.
"Goodnight Shawn," Belle said. She grabbed his shoulder and turned him around planted a light kiss on his lips. "See you in the morning," Belle said closing her door to her room.
"She still has me," Shawn said under his breath as he closed the door to the guest room.
