Long Lost Love Come Home Ch. 26

Belle stood up from her chair, wiped her eyes, she was not going to let anyone see her cry. She began to place the papers she was reading into her breifcase, but they wouldn't all go in, and they were falling on the floor two by two. Belle flung her briefcase across the room, knocking something over. Belle turned and looked out the window. 2 months wasn't that long, it just made her mad that her dad did this without consulting her, and Shawn was already going to be awway for 2 weeks every month, she would barely see him! He would probably end up falling for some NAVY chick, and forget all about her. After a momment or two of self-pity, Belle went over to where her breifcase had fallen. She picked up her breifcase, and threw it onto her leather couch. She bent down to retrieve what had fallen. Belle turned over the object in her hands. It was the picture of Shawn and Belle that Hope had taken. This made Belle even more angry. She placed the photo on her desk, grabbed her car keys, and stormed out of the building. Karen lifted her head to say good-bye, but by the way Belle's face looked, she knew that she had better not say anything.
Belle put the key in the ignition, and started the car. The radio began blasting in her ears. Belle hit the power button for the radio with her fist. Belle drove in silence. She didn't know where she was going, but she just knew that she needed to clear her head before she went to talk to Shawn. About ten minutes after Belle had left her office, she found herself in Mimi and Phillip's driveway. Belle wasn't sure exactly how she got there, but she knew that in the back of her head, this is where she needed to be. She needed to talk to her at one time best friend. Belle climbed the few steps that lead to the massive front door. She placed her finger on the door bell, and waited until she heard Mimi scuffeling towards the door, and opening it.
"Belle!" Mimi said gesturing for Belle to come inside. Once Belle managed to get through the door, Mimi had her arms wrapped around Belle's tiny figure.
"I am so glad that you are here! We haven't really had a chance to talk lately, and I want your opinion on a few things," Mimi said leading Belle into her living room, not even noticing Belle's expression.
They both sat down on the huge couch, which was scattered with carpet colors, baby catalogs, Brides magazines, paint chips, and legal pads with Mimi's handwritting all over them.
"So before we get into my drama, tell me, how is Shawn?" Mimi asked raising her eyebrows.
