Salem Law Ch. 2 CONT'D

the honerable Judge Nicole Walker presides," the attendent said.
Belle and Kevin rose as a tall blond entered the room.
"You may be seated," Judge Walker said.
Belle looked over at Kevin, but Kevin just shrugged and began to prepare for his opening argument.
"McGuire vs. Cabretti," Judge Walker said.
"Counselor Isabella Black representing the defense Your Honor," Belle said.
"Counselor Kevin Lambert representing the plaintiff Your Honor," Kevin said.
"Good, now let's get the show on the road, Counselor Black you may proceed," Judge Walker said, and motioned for Belle to take the floor.
"Thankyou You Honor," Belle said, and she rose from her chair, and took the floor.
An hour an a hlaf later, Belle found herself sharing a cell with Jan.
"Belle? What are you doing here? Are you here to get me out?" Jan naively asked.
"No Jan, that annoying judge of mine, Nicole Walker found me in comntempt, so now i am here with you in a jail cell, instead of at home," Belle said.
"Oh," Jan said.
"So, now that I am stuck here all night, why don't you tell me why you are here," Belle said, She was annoyed that she was now injail, and not at home with her son. She had called Phillip and he had promised her that he would pick Jack up. Being here also mean that Belle couldn't meet with clients or work on the rest of her cases for the day.
"Well, you see, I am on the pill-fed fat diet. I popped a pill right before my trial," Jan began.
Belle nodded, and took her head in her hands, she was begining to get a migrain.
"The judge was so annoying, calling me on everything, didn't let me slide, wouldn't cut me any slack," Jan whined, "and then when I got to my main point, my main argument, she objected to every little thing, but I pressed on. She told me to sit down, and I had a meltdown right there in the court room," Jan said, bowing her head in shame.
"Oh god," Belle said, and began t rub her temples.
"That's not all," Jan said.
"There's more?" Belle asked.
"Yes, before I had a meltdown, I exposed myself," jan said.
"Jan!" Belle screamed.
"Hey keep it down!" A guard called from down the hall.
"The medicine I was taking has weird sideffects, it's not as if I meant to, the judge was just being so unfair," Jan whined.
"That's it Jan! THat's it!" Belle started.
"No Belle that's not it, the judge wants me to spend some time in a rehibilitation program," jan said.
"Well, don't expect a job when you come back," Belle said taking her head in her hands again.
"Isabella Black, your husband bailed you out," the female guard called as she unlocked Belle's cell.
"My husband?" Belle asked.
