The Party Challenge
Chapter 1
"I can't believe you guys. I just broke up with Chloe and now you want to take me out to a party to get another woman!" Shawn shouted in between laughs. "Come on guys, have little compassion."
"Passion? Did you say passion?" Philip joked. "Oh, you'll get that all right!"
Shawn laughed. Sure, you gotta love your friends when they don't understand what the hell is going on.
"This is it! Mark's party." Jason shouted as he opened the door, to the very stylish and large house. Although from the outside it looked enormous, inside it looked like a sardine can. There were so many 'partiers' that people nearly had to sit on other's laps. Which, in most case was defiantly by choice.
There were a bunch of people dancing in the middle of what looked like the living room.
"And, look, there's Mark now," Jason announced as they saw Mark running from table to table with drinks silently chanting "Please don't spill on Mom's new Persian rug. Please don't spill." His face was red on fire, and he looked like he was going to cry just as he saw his fellow classmate, and star quarterback, Brad Micheals, throwing a glass antique vase pretending to make a touch down as five other guys ran after him. Finally crossing the touchdown line, he threw the vase down and laughed as it broke into a million pieces.
"Oh, my Goddddd!" Screamed Mark as he ran, faster than lightening towards Brad.
"Looks like the night's first fight is about to abrupt." Philip laughed. He turned to Shawn and said, "Okay Shawnie boy, you better find a girl fast because I have a feeling this party isn't going to last very long."
Shawn sighed. Did Philip not get the definition of no? "I told you, I'm not ready to get back into a relationship so fast."
"It's not a matter of relationships it's just a matter of some foolin' around!" Jason teased as him Philip laughed and gave a high five.
"Okay, let's get down to business. Over there we got Claire Barens," Philip said as he pointed to a brunet bumping and grinding with some very happy guy. "The problem with her is she's all talk. Pretty much."
He turned around and walked into another room with Shawn and Jason following. "Over here we have the 'Dream Team.' Mandee, Joy, Brook, and Lindsay. But, they all look preoccupied." All four girls were making out with the same guy.
"Wow, that's pretty much it. These parties have gone real down hill. There used to be millions of available girls. Now look at it. Either they're snatched or they're ass ugly!" Jason whined.
"Oh, gee. That's too bad. Looks like I won't be getting a girl tonight." He cried sarcastically pretending to be disappointed.
"Look. Here comes Belle Black!" Philip shouted as a massive crowd of guys ran up to her and started right out humping her.
"No thanks. That there is the most high maintenance girl in Salem. I might as well dig an early grave!" He justified. No way in Hell was he going to get caught in Belle Black's web.
Belle Black was your usual spoiled all American girl. She was pretty with her blond hair and blue eyes, but very standard. Shawn liked more exotic looking girls, such as Chloe.
Chloe was dark, with her long brown hair and chocolate complexion.
Belle Black was the cheerleader type. The kind of guy that the captain of the football team would date, not the guy who barely attended any college classes during his first and second year. She was smart, talented, and obviously would never go for Shawn.
"Yea, right. Shawn could never get with her! You've got to be ####ing kidding me! Jason laughed.
Shawn's eye brows went up in a quizzical motion. "Is that some sort of challenge?"
"Yea. I challenge you to actually get Belle to talk to you let alone date you!" Philip laughed as he too joined in on the fun.
"You're on! Not only will Belle Black talk to me, but she'll fall head over heals for me!" He said without hesitating. "Now, what's the prize?"
"If she does actually get with you, then you can have the new Ferrari that daddy dearest is giving me." Philip answered slurring, obviously drunk.
"Hell yes!" Shawn shouted.
"And if you lose, I get your ex, Chloe!" Philip replied.
"Deal," he said talking Philip's hand and shook it wildly.
"Dude," Jason started. "You know he's wasted and won't remember this tomorrow, right?"
"Well, that's why you're here. You're the evidence that all this did actually happen! Plus he'd never, in his sober mind, put up his new red Ferrari!" Laughed Shawn.
In between laughs Philip hollered, "Go ahead. Talk to her Romeo!"
Shawn gulped down one of the beers that he had found on the near by table abandoned and saluted to his friends.
He slowly made his way over to Belle, who was sitting at the bar, or a table which Mark "called" the bar. She was sitting with her friends Mimi Lockhart, and Jan Spears.
Belle had her legs crossed. Her skirt hem way up her thigh. She wore a tight red sleeveless shirt, and a black shirt, with two inch heals. Her blonde hair was long and wavy, almost a Britney Spears look.
Shawn slowly walked over to her and her friends. Stalking her like a predator to it's prey.
Belle saw Shawn coming and rolled her eyes. She turned her body weight to the left hoping that if she looked like she was in a deep conversation with Mimi, that Shawn would get the picture and take the cue to leave her alone.
But, he didn't in fact, his grin became even wider. He slowly took a seat next to her. He pretended as if he didn't know such a beautiful woman was sitting next to him, merely to piss Belle off. And it did because she knew that he walked all the way over to the bar just to talk to her.
"Excuse me," he begged.
Belle turned around and looked at Shawn. "Yes?" She asked in a very proper and primp voice.
"I was wondering if you were tired." He asked.
"No, why?" She asked biting her lip.
"Because you've been running through my mind all night." He exclaimed grinning for ear to ear.
Belle rolled her eyes once again, as her friends giggled thinking Shawn was so charming. Belle just tried her best to ignore him.
Shawn laughed in a low husky voice. "Shawn Brady."
"You can call me N.C. Not Caring." Belle replied. "Please leave me alone or I'll call security."
"Oh really?" He dared. "I didn't know that The Mark Hopper Party had security, did you ladies?" He asked Mimi and Jan, who like a bunch of eight grade idiots giggled.
"Shut up!" Belle demanded.
Totally ignoring Belle's requested he pushed a little more. "Would you like to ditch this party and come back to my place?"
"Thanks Shawn."
"So you'll come?" He asked thinking in his head, that was too easy.
"No, thank you for giving me a good laugh. I needed that.Right here is fine." And with that she got up and put her hands on the waist band of Shawn's black pants.
"Woah Belle. Slow down." He laughed nervously. "I just met you!"
Belle smiled slyly. "I think you need to cool down." She took her coke, and poured it down his pants. "There ya go."
Shawn uncomfortably jumped up and down. "Belle, you bitch!" He screamed and he ran into the nearest bath room.
Philip and Jason on looked very amused. "This is going to be all too funny!" Philip cried.
