Internet Advice Chapter 1

Chapter One
Shawn had been browsing through the CD's at DotCom for what seemed like hours. He decides to sit down at a computer to check his email.
Shawn: I can't believe I asked Belle on a date and she blew me off. No, she didn't. Mimi ruined it… Why did I kiss her? That was so stupid. I bet she thought I liked her. I wish Mimi would just forget about it…Nothing, what was I expecting, she never writes this early… I wonder if she's someone I know…
Shawn had been internet "pen pals" with a girl who called herself Sweetblu1021 for about a month now. They had pretty interesting "talks". Nothing important, he didn't want to give anything away in case he knew her. She gave pretty good advice. He wanted to ask her what to do about Belle, but again he was afraid to, in case she knew who she was talking to.
Shawn: I wonder what she looks like… maybe I should get to know her… she might actually be pretty cool. Belle probably has no interest in me anyway. Yeah… she didn't really want to go on a date. (The door to DotCom opens and he glances up, hoping it might be Belle) No such luck! (He crouches lower in the booth hoping she'll leave)
From the door Mimi hobbles in and looks around hoping to find Jan. Not finding her she decides to find a seat.
Mimi: I can't believe I actually tried to hobble home in these things. I hope Dad gets here soon.
Shawn: Great… She sits down right in front of me. Should I say anything to her? No, I'll keep looking at the computer. If she sees me I'll talk to her. (His cell phone rings) Great, I don't think I can avoid her now (He grabs his jacket off the seat next to him and digs through the pocket. Mimi sees him just as he is answering the phone) Uh, Hello?
Belle: Hey Shawn, It's Belle.
Shawn: Hi there.
Belle: I just talked to Philip and he sounded really strange, um… Have you seen Chloe?
Shawn: No I haven't, but I'm still at DotCom.
Belle: Wow!
Shawn: Yeah, I didn't want to walk in the rain, and I think my parents want privacy, so I'll probably be here a while.
Belle: Okay, well, I should go in case Chloe tries to call. I just thought you might have seen her. I think Philip's really worried about her.
Shawn: If I see her I'll tell her to call you.
Belle: Thanks Shawn. I'll see you tomorrow.
Shawn: Bye Belle.
Belle: Bye.
Shawn puts his phone and looks up to see Mimi looking at him.
Shawn: Hey Mimi.
Mimi: Hi.
Shawn: You uh… ran out of here pretty quickly…
Mimi: I tried to walk home, well hobble… and I got to the other end of Salem Place… I was exhausted, so I called my dad to come pick me up.
Shawn: Oh. Okay.
Mimi: So, what did Belle have to say?
Shawn: Um, she's looking for Chloe. Did you talk to Belle after you left earlier?
Mimi: No, I didn't really have anything to say…
Shawn: Oh, she left to look for you.
Mimi: Uh, yeah, I saw her, but I guess I didn't feel like talking… Why? Is she mad at me?
Shawn: I don't think so, she just… I mean… I just want to apologize for… the kiss… I'm sorry I led you on… I uh thought we were just…
Mimi: It's okay, I get it! You're not interested, I'll move on. I was silly to think you'd be interested in me when you could have Belle…
Shawn: What? I don't have Belle. We're friends. She doesn't… she's not interested in me like that.
Mimi: Oh no?
Shawn: I mean… I doubt she is.
Mimi: How about you?
Shawn: Can we change the subject?
Mimi: Fine. I've told you what I'm doing here. Why are you still here?
Shawn: I guess I don't have anywhere else to go. I didn't want to be out in the rain, so I was waiting out the storm. My parents are uh… enjoying a little time alone. So I figured I'd just hang out here for a while.
