“Well Belle I just wanted to congratulate you. Also, Hope and I were talking, and we were thinking of throwing you a bridal shower. What do you think?” Maggie asked.
“That sounds great,” Belle said happily.
“Well, when were you and Shawn thinking of marrying? We just need an idea of when to throw the party,” Maggie explained.
“Well, to be honest Maggie, we haven’t decided when to have the wedding. Shawn told me to choose, but I don’t have any idea,” Belle blushed.
“Ok, well just let us know,” Maggie said, hugging Belle, and joining Mickey, Shawn Sr., and Caroline at a nearby table.
“Mimi, I have an idea!” Belle said excitedly, as she joined Mimi back at their table.
“What?” Mimi asked, as she sipped her diet soft drink.
“Well, I can’t take all the credit, this was actually your fiancé’s idea,” Belle explained.
“Oh great, what did Phillip think of now?” Mimi asked, with a hint of sarcasm.
“Well, he suggested to Shawn that we have a double wedding,” Belle told her friend.
Mimi’s face light up. “Are you serious? Belle that would be amazing! It would be amazing. Can’t you see it? The Kiriakis/Lockhart/Brady/Black wedding? It’ll be the talk of the town!” Mimi was so excited Belle couldn’t help but laugh at her friend. “When we were sixteen years old, did you ever see us marrying our best friends?”
“No, not for a second did I think that I was going to spend the rest of my life with Shawn Brady,” Belle said dreamily.
“Well, now we really need to get started with our wedding plans. I don’t know about you, but pretty soon I will be out to here…” Mimi gestured with her arms, holding them out in front of her, “and I would like my wedding pictures to show me skinny and youthful.”
“Yeah, I know what you mean. I am sure it wont be long until you, me, and Chloe will be to big to fit through the front door,” Belle teased.
“I know…” Both Mimi and Belle got very quiet for a moment, thinking of the their future lives as mothers and wives.
“So, what kind of wedding were you and Phillip thinking of having?” Belle asked, breaking the ice.
“Phillip just told me to go wild, he said that he wanted me to have the wedding of my dreams. But you know that Victor is pushing for the event of the century,” Mimi explained.
“Yeah I know what you mean, I got the same pressure from my dad. Just because Brady ran off with Chloe and had their wedding, he wants to make up for it, with mine,” Belle said regretfully.
“So, what kind of wedding do you and Shawn want?” Mimi asked, amused by her friends similar predicament.
“Shawn is just like Phillip, he’s like ‘Whatever you want, just tell me where and when.’ But I don’t know some days I just want this huge thing, and some I want something small and intimate,” Belle explained.
“So if we are going to have this joint wedding we should probably agree on something, so that we can send out invitations as soon as possible,” Mimi said.
“Good afternoon ladies,” Shawn and Phillip said, as they entered the pub.
“Hey, what are you guys doing here?” Mimi asked.
“Well, we called, and Caroline told us that you were here,” Phillip said kissing his soon to be wife gently on the lips.
“Hey sexy,” Shawn said, wrapping his arms around Belle from behind.
“Right back at ya’” Belle said turning her head to the side, kissing Shawn lightly on the lips.
“So, what are you ladies up to?” Phillip asked, pulling up a chair from another table.
“We were just discussing our wedding,” Mimi explained.
“Right, the even of the century,” Phillip said, molding his fingers around Mimi’s shoulder.
“What did I tell you?” Mimi said sarcastically to Belle. “Actually Belle and I agreed to your idea of having a joint wedding.”
“Really? That would be so cool!” Phillip said, thrilled that everyone loved his ideas.
“We are just having problems about where and when and size,” Belle said. Shawn and Phillip exchanged glances. “What have you two got planned?”
“Nothing, nothing at all darling,” Shawn said, quieting Belle with his lips on hers. |
