1961 Buick Skylark Purchase

Hi all, I'm looking at purchasing a 1961 Buick skylark. The body looks nice and the interior is good except the seats. I'm really just looking for a classic driver so the seats aren't that big of a problem for me.

The problem in the transmission. The owner says the flexplate is cracked and the front seal is leaking. Is this something that is fixable? Can I get parts for this transmission?

Also how reliable is the buick 215 aluminum V8 and what type of parts availabity is there.

I guess I'm just looking for some general info on the car and experiences from some owners.
