1984 century speedometer cable (3pd.auto 3.0lt.)

hi guy's(and dolls!)i am trying to find the location
of the speedometer cable on the transaxle,my haynes is
generic and does'nt show it.I know where the t.v cable
is ,and the shift cable,but not the speedometer...any help,reason...speedometer died,wanted to start at trans. end first...thank's
