1940 Buick frame questions

Does anyone on the board know where i can go on the internet to find the dimensions, and specs for the frame, and body mount points for a 1940 Buick Special? I'm trying to help my father restore/modify his, and we've been kicking the idea around about trying a different frame (more modern chassis) to use instead of having to cut up, torch, and cobble together something using the origional frame.
Any ideas, or input is greatly appreciated.
