i can't find my shop manual!anyway i'm trying to put new plastic inserts(DYNA-FLOW) in my 49 roadmaster trunk handle bezel.i'm unable to get the handle off of the bezel. i've taken out the snap ring out of the lock cylinder,hoping i could take that out & find a fastener.can't get the cylinder out. i've looked on the back side of the trunk and can't see anything there either.does anyone know off hand? thanks john

Remove the nut and washer from trunk handle, and then turn the trunk handle either all the way to the left or to the right (cannot remember which way), once turn all the way the handle will just pull right out, then undo the screws holding the trim plate to the trunk, and go from there. Install is just the reverse. Thanks.
