I just bought a 55 Buick Super, 2 door. I've been looking around for parts, but I don't know what series it is. 40, 50, 60, 70?
Any info would be appreciated!

You own a 1955 Buick Super 4-dr. sedan, Model # 52.
Production: 43,280 Sold for $ 2,876
Weight 4,140 lbs. Its overall length was 216" (same as Roadmaster) Wheelbase 127"
Engine 322 cu. in "vertical Valve V-8 rated at 236 hp. with 4-barrel carb and 9:1 compression ratio. (Car ran best on 'Ethyl' equivalent to today's Premium.)
Transmission was NEW Variable pitch Dynaflow...a vastly improved performance level.
It used movable stator blades (looked like a comma sort of 'C' shaped). When you pressed hard on the accelerator the stators would kick in and give you lots of zip.
Acceleration: 0 - 60 in 11.5 seconds; 50-80 another 10.5 seconds. TRUE top speed was 105 MPH except Century which as 110 MPH.
The Buick Ride was most enviable, being a 'boulevard-like' feel...cushy and comfortable.
Buick was one of the hottest production cars on the road then. In fact in '55 and '56 the Centurys were the hottest thing going (for a production car)
