OK here goes, sigh,

I installed WinUAE v0.8.8 release 8 on Windows XP. I then downloaded Kickstart 3.1 and Workbench 3.1. I have setup WinUAE and managed to make two things happen...

1)I get the Amiga logo and purple background with the animated disk going into the floppy drive, from there on im stuck

2)If i point WinUAE towards a hard drive(empty folder in windows)I get into Amiga DOS and from there on im stuck too.

I cant seem to be able to install Workbench? Does anyone know what im doing wrong, or what im NOT doing? PLEASE help, I feel that im soooo close to getting those old Amiga classics going again!!!

I have come to the conclusion that the hard drive is not being recognized. All I did was to add directory under the hard drives tab in WinUAE and point it towards an empty folder. Is this wrong??? I know I must format the hard drive but I tried this (after getting into workbench via the floppy route) and got the "no disk in drive" error message.

Please please help me if you know the solution.. you dont know how much I miss those amiga classics!

Why is my keyboard and USB joystick not working when I launch a game via the floppy drives route? (no hard drive at all) The only thing that works on the keyboard is F12(winUAE box)??? and the joystick does not work at all?
