ha, ok, so im startin to get it, but... i did the guide and i can get everything running except for the games. i have all the standard configurations it gives u in the guide and even downloaded the e the ones necessary for the games on "back2roots". problem is they dont seem to work, i get everything set up right (i think) and the workbench starts up (or amiga, dont know what its called) and it looks like its gunna maybe load but then goes to an amiga dos screen. what the heck do i do from there? please help. thank you

What game are you trying to play? And does it do this with all games?

Not sure what your trying to load but basics are as follow

Install WinUae

Put your kickstart roms in a folder called Roms in WinUae.

Put your games in a folder called Games in winUae

Put your configs in a folder called configs in WinUae

Startup Winuae, goto config tab, either load one of your configs, or perhaps make one up that approximates an Amiga 500/1200 config.

Goto Roms tab to load your Kickstart Rom.

Goto floppies tab and load your game (adf) into df0:

Go back to config tab, save settings with a name of game.

click go and see if it works, if not and you cant get it working, ask for advice on that particular adf on this forum..

I could email you all my configs for a lot of games if it helps, 508kb rared up.

sorry cant edit my post so I'll add this.

Once you do start up your game you may have to press a key or button to move on and continue loading, this usually applies to most "cracked" games.

Normally, left/right Mouse, Joystick button, Space, Enter(Return) or F1 usually does the trick.

Also if it asks for a disk swap, press F12 and goto floppies to swap disks in df0:

Maybe your kickstart file is wrong or bad, I once had a problem like this with a bad Kick 1.3 file for some reason, try an alternitive Kickstart.

More info on the game/kickstart version and config your using colin, if possible.
