I've noticed my cpu is maxed out when I'm trying to emulate above the A500. I'm wanting to emulate my old A4000 040 (as much as possible). Is this normal? Is this hard on a CPU constantly being maxed at 100%?

It takes the full power of a PC to emulate an Amiga (lol).
You will only get problems if there is not enough cooling in your PC.
So really it should be ok.
