here's another game i'm having problems with. i can't seem to jump in a forward direction. the only direction i'm allowed is straight up which make this game impossible to play. anybody else experience this???? i've even tried the atari st version to the same effect.

Hi, I tried both games (same game?) and I could not acheive a forward jump, I never played the game before but to me it appears you cant do this, diaganal up is spinning kick & diaganal down is a low kick in both directions, only possible move is up and not forward jump from what I can see, anyone else?

davey, they're both the same game. in japan it was released as Dragonninja & the us, Bad Dudes. it's full title is really Bad Dudes vs. Dragonninja.

i don't think this is programming neglect but rather a USB issue like u've said.

better to go download the MAME rom. it's really an addictive game & it includes the victorious stage ending "I'm Bad" bravado. i'm still not sure what the guy mumbles in the amiga version. lmfao

there's an nes version with the forementioned ability.

Yep, I tried the MAME version and you can do this jump, unfortunatly I only have usb for my PSX gamepad, but I do have a p2-300 in a cupboard with MAME and a gameport installed, I'll attempt to find it and see if this happens with this PC and a standard controller.

It's not possible to make a forward jump in the Amiga version of Dragon Ninja (since I had the same problem even on a real Amiga). You have to go to the edge of the platform, do a jump upwards and while in air, stear left or right.

Needs perfect positioning, but it's possible.

it's terrible they programmed it like this. what were they thinking?????? lol
