Hallo to everybody, my name's Gianluca,I'm Italian! Is somebody italian? I need some help! I've seen a beautifull game that was my favourite game some times ago when I was in possession of Amiga 500. Its name is North & South! I'm quite ignorant about emulation etc, so I wanted to know if there was a possibility to play again North & Sud even if I haven't Amiga! Thanks for eventual answer and I'm sorry for my English,I've studied it a lot of years ago and so I can't write It correctly, I hope you can understand me! Bye Gianluca

Hi Gianluca,

Your English is fine (and so much better than my Italian)...

North and South is easy to get hold for Amiga:
http://www.games.amiga-island.de/North_And_South.zip

The latest WinUAE emulator can be downloaded from here:
http://www.winuae.net/files/InstallWinUAE0991.exe

All that remains is a Kickstart Rom to get the WinUAE emulator to work and as you're new, I'll give you the link but remember that this file isn't approved by Cloanto (who hold the Amiga license at the present time):
http://amiga.supergamez.hu/Util/kick13.zip

So... install the WinUAE emulator to your hard disk, unzip the kickstart rom and North and South ADF (amiga disk file or game disk) and in the WinUAE properties window that is the default screen, add the kickstart rom file to Hardware, Roms and add the game file to Hardware, Disk Drives, DF0: Click the Start button and everything should then work. If you need Winzip, go to http://www.winzip.com

HTH

Bill

I've been such a naughty boy... but in all seriousness, the Cloanto Amiga Forever package is very poor value for money and our new friend from Italy only wants to play the one game. It seems unfair for Cloanto to charge him more money than he paid for the game originally, to play the game now.
