To everyone my hair is gone and have not yet reached for my gun yet the problem is how to get these games workig on my PC I have downloaded several emulators and have no luck is there a very simple process that has missed my attention please reply if you can. Loren

Download winuae and install, either purchase Cloantes Amiga forever or search (google) for an Amiga kickstart rom, usually v1.3/v3.1 is enough, put these in your roms folder, put your amiga adf files in a game folder, find and load your adf(game)file and try one of the default configs, amiga 500 or amiga 1200, depending on the game, if a demo/intro appears, try pressing F1, Enter, Space or mouse/joypad fire, the game will load (hopefully) and away you go.

If you want the really easy option, go to http://www.amigaforever.com/ and download their all-in-one package for $30. This is the only way of legally getting the kickstart roms. However, many people (myself included) don't agree with cloanto doing this because nearly all other home computers from this era like the Atari ST, Sinclair Spectrum, etc. are all public domain these days.

However even with AF's biggest plus point, I don't think it's as good as downloading the vanilla WinUAE and configuring the setup yourself, which was made a lot easier with one of the v0.9 releases which has a drop down menu dependent on the kickstart roms you've got. AF also installs a lot of stuff that you really don't need because, to be honest, you could just google for the kickstart roms at http://home.rixtele.com/~guggenheim/amiga/ and then go to the excellent Back To The Roots website http://www.back2roots.org/ for your choice of games.

Very quiet Bill, was thinking that last banter we had, i think, with CPC put peeps off from posting, maybe.

Of course the Amiga lives on and new people want info all the time, just would be nice if they gave somme feedback on any info we have helped them out with in the past.
