There seems to be quite a hatred in my heart now that i can barely contain. I am 24 years of age, and can see this country falling apart in time. My only hope is to be able to become president in 11 years and fix it all. Two obstacles are standing in my way though. I think there may not be a country in 11 years yet worth presiding over, and i think by that time i might get fed up and leave this land of my fathers. As we all know the people do not govern this country as demonstrated by representatives and the electoral college. In point of fact that is not such a bad idea, i observe the daily life of complete morons everyday that i would not feel comfortable with an important decision, however, avarice has a much harder time attacking the altruism of a nation than the few individuals making the decisions. That is the problem, hunger of money, power, and influence are driving leaders in making the wrong decisions. Does anyone know the difference between leaders that think this way and the ones who cross lines? The ones who break the mold and overcome simple human vices are the ones honored after they die with memorials and holidays. There is no holiday for a person or honor for a person that doesn nothing but succombs. MLK, Thomas Jefferson, Chief Joseph, Rosa Parks, and medal of honor recipients. All of these have done something beyond the normal comprehension of todays leaders. This nation was founded on acts of rebellion. What would the founding fathers think of this country today. Would they look at eachother and discuss what they should have drafted? I am at a loss for words here, i know i could write the most politically motivating message and it wouldnt matter. All of you who read this are already in the know, you know something is wrong. MOst of america is lost in the dark with the only guiding light coming from the glow of their cell phone that is reflected off of gold and diamonds and shiny news cars or other modern indulgences. So soft a glow but blinding it can be to those who choose not to look into the shadows and see the soldiers dying, the homless crying, and the politicians lying. Lying? maybe just stretching the truth? Maybe not. I was born 200 years too late. I should have been in on the drafting of the constitution, it would say these are not guidelines but the rules of this country. Like it or leave it.
I think i will run for office for sure if i can, hopefully as a write in. Oh what kind of awakening that would be to have a write in candidate whose campaign funds consisted of enough cash to pay rent and pay for internet access. That would be quite a slap in the face of corporate cronies and greed mills all across the ticker tape. Quite a day that would be, someone needs to turn the lights on for these people.
