Way way back in my jogging days- like 30 years ago I didn't worry about it. The scrotum tightens up to keep movement to comfortable levels and if it was still visible- which it probably was giving the shorts common then- well nobody ever complained. Ofcourse, people were a lot more tolerant of stuff like that back then.
