This one seems to run and run! I've posted at length on my experience in the UK back in the dark ages, so I won't bore you all again with all the details. The only underwear "rule" that I encountered at any of the three schools that I attended was not actually a regulation, merely advice ( we were all about 13 at the time and developing physically) that we probably ought to be wearing a jock-strap or something similar. As for "shirts and skins", at primary school, we wore whatever we had on that day, minus shoes, socks and heavy sweaters etc., one secondary school insisted on t-shirts at all times, and the other went from requiring PE vests to requiring toplessness. |
