So as many of you on here may know I of course do not wear underwear ever, and do not own any underwear....
and a while back on here I talked about how on my right inner thigh I developed a cyst that was painful and UGLY and bled easily...
well it came back 2 times after that (that i was able to maintain and shrunk down by itself)and a third time last weekend where it did not go away and I had to go to my local doctor to get antibiotics and such....last monday
and being its the 4th time, the doctor recommended that I have a minor surgery to get it removed for good....
and being I still live at home, am on my parents medical insurance and dont have lots of money I had to talk to them about it....
but on to my real story....
yesterday night my dad and mom (and sister) privately talked about if they think I should get it or not (why there was a discussion is beyond me...???)
and they all know that I do nto wear underwear....
I didn't hear the whole discussion they had, but my mom basically said
you can either wear uw and if it goes away, then comes back I can get it (which could easily be at LEAST 6 months away)
and being myself, not wearing ANY uw (or not for more than 10 seconds) over 4.75 years time I thought that was RIDICULOUS.....and of course did not like THAT...
I dont know for sure but they have all ALWAYS thought that not wearing uw is gross, unsanitary, creates sweat ect....
and us on the board know that DEFINITELY not true, well as long as you clean well after the bathroom and shower normally everyday....there is also less sweat and bacteria than uw cause of evaporation with no uw......
My mom later researched the cyst more and figured out it has NOTHING to do with if you wear or dont wear underwear....its caused by nothing but hair follicles and skin oils, and its unpreventable....
I just know even if they said to wear uw I would have faked it....(most of the shorts and pants I wear you cant tell if I'm fb or not)
I can also imagine (and I told her this too) if I was to wear uw, i woudl be in MORE pain and it would bleed more ALWAYS having something rubbing up against it, whereas without uw there is just air....
not to mention if I even considered wearing it that I would be BEYOND uncomfortable even in boxers....
what do you think??

If you and your doctor are certain that your choice of underwear does not affect the cyst, then would recommend that you and your parents make a visit with the doctor to discuss the issue. The doctor can then explain the medical reason for the cyst, and the options.
If the doctor recommends wearing briefs, then you can agree with your parents that wearing briefs for 6 months would be a small price to pay for your health. But, if the doctor states that your choice in underwear would have NO affect on the cyst, then your parents will probably be more likely to assist in the removal. It might also help if you suggest helping with the portion of the bill that the insurance will not cover.
Best of luck on your issue. Remember that there are worst things in life that could happen. Later you will look back on this and realize how small this issue is.
