I recently got my Utopia 205 out of winter storage and noticed some oil on the floor underneath the grate. Where does this oil come from and I assume it needs replacement ?

Thanks

Likely it's the front impeller shaft lube...

There are two screws at the front of the grate, embedded in the housing. That's where you drain and refill the front lube. I'll bet you leaked some, either from the screw(s) or from the front impeller shaft seal.

Read up on how to change the front lube, then see if you have any/enough. To be safe, I'd replace or top it off, then replace the screws and the little fiber washers on them. Dab a bit of thread sealant (not loctite, but actual thread sealant) on the screws when reinstalling them.

If the leak recurs you probably have a failing front impeller seal. Let's hope the screws are the problem.

Report back!
