Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I am not saying that I am an expert in the sport, never did say that. However, I've seen a lot more than just jumps as have many other people, and personally I think that the other elements are just as valuable. I'm disappointed that this mess has been blown up too much, which has caused people to fight more with each other. Certainly this is not creating more interest in the support, all the internal arguing. There is no proof that viewership is down, in Canada at least, due to the lack of the quad jumps. I think if anything, the fact that skating is moving away from the main networks is causing the general public to not see much of skating. |
