The wife and I are planning a trip out to the cove on Thursday around noon anyone that wants to join us come on out should be a nice day. Weather said high in the 80's. we might not get there till around 12:30- 1:00
I might be able to make it there. That depends on if all work is accomplished in proper order and in time.
It should be a nice and quiet afternoon being as it is a weekday.
Hi guys -- I won't be able to make it Thursday but I was there for about an hour and a half today, Wednesday 5-28-03.
I was alone at first, little after 3pm , and set up on the left arm of the horsehoe. I was under my ball cap and when I came up for air noticed another beach user on the opposite side of the cove then in another 30 minutes we were joined by a 3rd beach bum. I'll let them name names if they wish - but it was good to have some company and room for everyone to be alone with company if that makes sense.
I took my weed whacker and thought I'd work on the uppper end of the trail but my weed whacker is a balky thing and I couldn't get it to run -- so no weed whacking.
I think there's enough foot traffic to keep the path we've got open the rest of the year - or if someone wants to whack away at it for about 15 minutes it'd be ok also.
Anyway, 3 users at the Cove this afternoon between 3 and 5 pm. I went in swimming - pretty swimmable. Lots of red and white bobbers had washed up on the shoreline due to the stiff northeast wind but no boating or fisherman on foot incursions. No wildlife either - peaceful, easy feeling with some good lapping sounds from the little wind driven wavelets.
Very pleasant afternoon - but I had places to go and stuff to do so had to leave about 4 30. You all have a good Thursday.
Here's a toss up questions for Cove visitors.
Let's say you're alone at the cove, first one of the day on the scene. Another cove visitor comes and sets up on the other side or anywhere. What's you're preference? You like it when he or she or they walk over to say hello -- do you get up and go greet the newcomers or prefer that everybody just stay to their own turf?

Yes, a few ticks - be sure to do a tick check after you get home. It's their season and they're out.
I'd hope that everyone would feel comfortable enough to at least come over and say Hi. So if you see a Purple Honda at the bend in the road good chances are I'm there so I hope you'll say Hi or I will...Let us know how the poll goes, I would like to know what the consenses is?
