I plan to go to the Cove this Sat (3/6/04) around Noon with a few trash bags, rake and shovel to clean up what ever winter might have left us at the cove. I had hoped the forecast would be for warmer times, but I have the time to do it this weekend and can not wait for Mother natures help. I have a truck and will remove what is collected.
Wish I could but I have to work. Its great to see that someone is going to get the place ready, I like to see that others care about our little home. Great on ya.
I removed a farily full bag and them some of trash Saturday. Most was not from our use given the cans and material was already showing signs of weather/deteriation.
Glad to know that we are taking care of the place. Another visitor was there to mow a new path at the lakes edge to make it easier for us to use the Cove. We spoke, but I do not recall his name, sorry.
Someone cut down several trees on the north side of the cove - not sure what is up with that.
Hope to see more of you soon, might head up tomorrow to relax, have the day off.
Wonder if anybody's been us this week - and any signs as to what the tree cutting was about? Always curious when something changes in the area of the Cove.
Thanks for the work on keeping the Cove cleaned up. I'd guess that's the cleanest Cove on the Lake. Lots of debris washes in from all over the Lake and unless there's an effort to bag and carry out the trash any shoreline becames a mess over time. So our little spot is likely cleaner than most and maybe the best kept of all at least for those area where nobody's actually paid to do maintenance.
